Numerai is a San Francisco-based AI run crowdsourcing hedge fund. Created in October 2015 by South African engineer Richard Craib. The main competitors of are mainly Quant Connect and WorldQuant and other open source trading platforms. Numerai’s transaction is determined by AI, which is based on a network of thousands of anonymous data scientists. Numerai’s investment group was led by Howard Morgan of Renaissance Technologies. Its investors include Naval Ravikant. Numerai holds a weekly tournament. Possibility to get paid in the currency of the password Numeraire. Numerai raised $ 7.5 million in two rounds of funding in 2016. The company was the world’s first AI hedge fund to create its own password currency.
